सिनेमा के पहले रंगमंच के ज़रिए ही मानवीय भावनाओं का प्रदर्षन किया जाता था। शुरूआती दौर में नाटकों में भी सिनेमा की तरह पुरूष ही स्त्री पात्रों के रूप में भावाभिव्यक्ति करते थे। इसे देखकर कलाकार के कला की सराहना तो की जाती थी परन्तु अन्ततः एक अधूरापन और असंतोष सा मन में घर किए रहता था। एक समय बाद जब स्त्रियां भी रंगमंच पर उतरीं तो मानो नाटकों या नृत्यनाटकों में प्राण का संचार हो गया। यह तो होना ही था पुरूष की जिजीविषा जो अब उसके साथ थी। बंगाल का ‘न्यू थियेटर्स ञ उन दिनों नाट्य कला के क्षेत्र में सर्वाधिक सम्मानित स्थान पर था और गिरीषचन्द्र घोष जैसे नाटककार ने पहली बार अपने नाटकों में स्त्री का समावेष किया। ठाकुर गिरीषचन्द्र के नाटक देखने के लिए दक्षिणेष्वर से कोलकाता जाया करते थे और उन्होंने रंगमंच की प्रख्यात नायिका नोटी विनोदिनी के अभिनय की बड़े उदार मन से सराहना भी की थी। ठाकुर का मानना था कि जीवन के प्रत्येक क्षेत्र में स्त्री का एक महत्वपूर्ण स्थान एवं पृष्ठभूमि होती है जिसे उन्होंने अपने जीवन में मां शारदा के साथ निभाया। ...मुश्किल ये थी कि फिल्मों में नारी प्रवेश एक लम्बे समय...

कुत्तों पर नही लागू होता सरकारी कानून। कुत्ते हैं तो क्या हुआ? बिना बात के ही काट खाते है तो भी क्या? ये काम तो सरकार की नौकरशाही भी करती है,फिर भी ऐसी फौज के रहते पुलिस महकमें को आम जनता पर छोड़ दिया गया है। बहरहाल यहां हम कुत्तों की समस्या पर चिन्ता व्यक्त कर रहे थे...कि कुत्तों से इतना भेदभाव क्यूं? विदेशी हैं तो खाने को विदेशी खाना, सोने को बिस्तर, खेलने को गेंद, नहाने को शैम्पू-साबुन, गर्मियों में ए.सी.-पंखे का सुख और जाड़ों में पहनने को गर्म कपड़े मानो कुत्ते न हुए नौकरशाह अफसर हो गए और हमारे देशी कटखन्नों का क्या? उन्हें तो दलितों जितना सुख भी नसीब नही। यदि मनुष्यों में एस.सी.एस.टी हो सकता है तो कुत्तों में क्यूं नही हो सकता। मनुष्यों के घरों में 10 बच्चे हो सकते हैं और विदेशी कुत्तों से बच्चे पैदा करवाने के लिए हजारों रुपए खर्चे जाते हैं तो फिर उनके देशी भाइयों की बिना पूछे नसबन्दी क्यूं करवा दी जाती है जबकि इन्सान को इस काम के भी पैसे मिलते हैं। सबसे अधिक दुःख तो तब होता है जब सरकार द्वारा योजनाओं की घोषणा होती है और उनमें कुत्तों के लिए कुछ नही होता। चलो आजतक न सोचा न सही पर क...
